Q. What were all the reasons Boeing canceled it? Couldn't Boeing just have tweaked some aspects? Oh, ok Nigel M. Thanks, I didn't know that. Why aren't more airlines phasing out the 757, and purchasing the new 737 instead? Oh, and one more thing- what year was the 757 program canceled? Asked by Jared - Sun Apr 19 21:38:02 2009 - - 7 Answers - 1 Comments A. Boeing kind of sabotaged the 757 with the 737NG aircraft. The great thing about the 757 is nothing in its class comes close to it. It can fly from Atlanta to Orland in the morning and the Atlanta to London in the evening. The 757 is the most capable narrow body aircraft in any fleet. If the orders were there the program would have continued the -300 has some of the lowest seat mile costs in the industry. Answered by paul - Sun Apr 19 22:45:29 2009 How much of the Boeing Tanker will be built out of this country? Q. A lot has been said about EADS being a foreign company and building an American aircraft but Boeing aircraft uses parts made in other countries. What percent? Made where? Asked by lelandlcox - Fri Jul 11 10:39:00 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments A. No. A lot has been said about the USAF changing it's requirements right before the bids were due, to favor the EADS bid. That's a no-no. The entire Boeing airframe will be made in the US. Very few parts come from elsewhere. Answered by gromit801 - Fri Jul 11 11:59:47 2008 Do you like Airbus or Boeing Better and why?
Q. I don't like Airbus as much because of the sidesticks. The pilot's sidestick is on the left side, and most people are righties. Boeing's yoke gives more control. Airbus still has wicked planes, though. Asked by MatthiusForce - Mon Jul 9 19:27:28 2007 - - 14 Answers - 0 Comments A. I like Boeing better than Airbus because the pilot has more control, they are more robust, and they are far more simple.
