stats theory and calculations?
Q. a pizza company claims that the proprtion of students whose favourite pizza is pepperoni is 40% and vegetarian is 40% and other 20% A random sample of 100 students is taken and the results are pepperoni 35; vegetarian 45 and other 20 which statement is incorrect: 1) the degrees of freedom are equal to 2 2) the expected counts are 40 students pepperoni; 40 students vegetarian and 20 students other 3) the chi-square goodness-of-fit statistic is equal to 1.25 4) the p- value > 0.5. 5 ) the evidence is strong to reject the pizza company's claim

A. The X value is [(O-E) /E] Where E is the expected value of each ch-square cell and O is the observed chi-square value of each cell. X = (35-40) /40 + (45-40) /40 + (20-20) /20 = 0.625 + 0.625 + 0 = 1.25 1) correct 2) correct 3) correct 4) correct 5) incorrect if = 0.05

If God does not exist, why do you matter?
Q. The theory that God is the supreme ideal of infinite goodness suggests that all that He created is of some inherent worth, as the Genesis creation account repeatedly says, "And God saw that it was good." If everything in the universe results from just a cosmic accident why does anything have intrinsic value? Danielle: You used the qualifying term "more wonderful" as if one piece of space dust can be more wonderful than any other. Argument falls apart with that phrase. Mikey: You say, "there is so much more." More of what? More of nothing is still nothing. FederalD: We make ourselves matter through actions? So matter that has no intrinsic value improves by somehow acting as if it does have such value? When even that action has no value?… [cont.]

A. Well if we really were the result of a cosmic belch than of course we have no intrinsic value.

To all people who believe or think they believe in evolution?
Q. If you understand evolution, then u would agree with me that it is a theory. A theory can't be called a fact until it has been proven right with evidence. therefore evolution is a simply a theory NOT a fact. there are 6 different types of evolution: 1. Chemical evolution - the origin of higher elements from hydrogen 2. Cosmic evolution - the origin of time, space, and matter 3. Stellar and planetary evolution - the origin of stars and planets 4. Organic evolution - origin of life from inanimate matter 5. Macro-evolution - origin of major kinds 6. Micro-evolution - variations with kinds. Micro is the only one to be proven. To me, the other 5 are strictly religious because you have to believe that they actually happen. Now I use to believe… [cont.]

A. Scientific theories describe and explains facts. They are different from the common definition of "theory" which can mean any unsupported idea someone dreams up. Sorry, but evolution has been proven correct, and it is a fact that evolution occurs. The rest of your rant is irrelevant.
