How to get a computer attacker to stop attacking? And whats a HTTP Malicious Toolkit Variant Activity attack?
Q. Ok so apparently everytime I go on the internet, once in a while theres always this attack, Norton blocks it, but how can i get them to stop attacking, or can i chage my ip address so that the attacker can't do it anymore. Its a norton says that its a HTTP Malicious Toolkit Variant Activity type attack, what does it mean?

A. That indicates someone is attacking your port 80. If you're running a web server, it should be more of a concern, if not, then don't even worry about it. At this point you're safe, seeing a warning like that is also a good thing - that means your firewall is working. If those warnings bother you, then adjust your firewall settings and let it block things quietly. Or you can put your computer in a local area network to avoid similar attacks. Renewing your IP address won't help, it'll still get maliciously scanned eventually. By the way, when you have a firewall, that's the kind of stuff you'll see all the time. "Once in a while" is a pretty good trend, considering about a decade ago there was a time it'd only take minutes to see… [cont.]

How would you cope with a neighbour who likes to spread malicious gossip?
Q. My gossipy neighbour has a tendency to be malicious with it. I've just found out that she's been spreading rumours that I'm an alcoholic; apparently she hears the chink of glass several times a day. I am not upset by this, but would like to do something to embarrass her, in the nicest possible way! Nasty is not my style. As I don't think one or two glasses a week with dinner is classified as being alcoholic, the chinking she hears will be things like bottles of olive oil, vinegar, and my storage jars are glass - all of which are now being rattled more frequently. Any other suggestions, with a touch of humour preferred, and she is a senior citizen. I'm sure you folks can come up with something. Just like to add - this neighbour is… [cont.]

How can I get rid of malicious calls receiving in my mobile?
Q. I m from Chennai / India. I m getting frequent missed calls from one particular mobile number. What can i do to avoid this? Any ways to find the name and address of that number? Any filtering software works with N6030. Thanks in advance.

A. The customer care of ur service provider(airtel , vodafone etc) will be able to help u trace the no. also will advise u how to block the caller.
